Hey everybody!!!
I know its been a while since I last posted, so let me get you all caught up.
A lot has happened in my life since I last posted.
My coach moved me to Coed, and now back to All Girl for the remained of the season. We have officially started competition season. Only 57 days till Daytona!!!!
I finished my fall semester of my sophomore year with a 4.0 GPA!!!! It wasn't easy, but it was well worth the feeling of accomplishment.
I was able to go home for the first time since the summer. It was amazing. I finished my last final on Tuesday December 14th in the middle of the day. I was originally planning on going home right after, but mother nature had other plans. I snowed that Monday and Tuesday, closing both I-80 to Cheyenne and 287 to Fort Collins. I was stuck in Laramie. Wednesday morning I finished packing and was constantly checking the road conditions. Around 10am they opened 287. I decided to take the risk. I packed up my little mustang and headed out. The road was not snow covered or icy on the Wyoming side of the state line. However, it was very windy and the light snow was blowing right across the highway. For the first few miles it was just blowing across the road, but the conditions quickly became worse. The further south I went the less I could see. The snow was blowing off the hills and mountains. At one point I could not see a single thing, not even the road. I had to of been going no more than 10 MPH.
You see, the funny thing is, Wyoming is know for its wind, and Colorado for its poor roads; and this driving experience just reiterates these facts. The second I crossed the Wyoming-Colorado state line into Colorado the wind stopped, I could see, and the roads got significantly worse. I somehow managed to get stuck behind a tanker the majority of the way into Fort Collin and all the way to I-25. I ran out of windshield wiper fluid, stopper in Windsor, and began the rest of my trip home.
By the time I arrived in Colorado Springs, I-80 from Laramie to Cheyenne had just opened. I guess my risk was rewarded.
While home I got to go help in my mom's 2nd grade classroom, spend time with my family, and catch up with some old friends.
Christmas was great. We wet to the Christmas Eve Candle Light service at my church. Some of my dad's family came own for the day and I got to see my cousin. It was a very relaxing Christmas.
I returned to Laramie on January 1st. I cheered at a few games, lead a recruit clinic, and worked a lot.
We started Spring Semester on January 25th. Today was the start of week three. I am taking 17 credits, and I am super excited for all of my classes.
I am sure you are all aware, but yesterday was Superbowl 50!!!!
I have grown up a Broncos fan, which was difficult at times especially when I live in San Diego. Superbowl 48 was a rough one, but we came back swinging this year, and proved the doubters wrong!!
And man was in a great season!!!
I can not put into words my excitement!!!
The Broncos won the Superbowl!!!!!!!
Anyways.
I was bound and determined to write this post by the end of the night. I wanted to document my last day of being a teenager.
That's right.
Tomorrow I turn 20!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I have experienced some amazing things in the past year and am looking forward to another amazing year.
I thank God for my many blessings and another year to live to glorify him.
Thanks for visiting.
Until next time...
He has made everything beautiful in it's time.
