Nothing Crazy

Well Hello,

It been a while since I have wrote, so here is a quick update.

After returning from San Diego for the Poinsettia Bowl, I went home for two weeks. Christmas was great and I loved spending time with my family and seeing some old friends.

After the New Year I returned to Laramie and worked full time for the remainder of winter break.

I finished last semester with a 4.0 and made the UW Presidents List.

Spring 2017 semester began on January 23rd. Today marks the completion of Week 4. I am finally back into the swing of things. I have 3 on campus classes and 2 online classes. I am enjoying all of them, but my favorite has to be my Art in Elementary Schools class. While I would not consider myself to be very artistic, I am enjoying the process of thinking through and producing pieces I am proud of. I also enjoy that every project we do can be connected back to a general education classroom subject.
I think my biggest challenge will be keep up with an managing my online classes. It can me so easy to loose track of what needs to get done when you are not in a physical classroom.

My Goal:
-Get a 4.0 GPA

Some other big news.
I have officially been accepted into the College of Education Phase III program. Phase III is the technical term for Methods classes and Student teaching.
So what does this mean?
This means that next fall I will begin taking my Methods courses in Humanities, Literacy, and Math/Science. Then that spring, I will enter a classroom full time and begin student teaching.
For the next 4 months I sit and wait to find out where my placement will be for student teaching.

Oh! And one more thing.
I am officially 21!
That's right. And no. I haven't done anything crazy.

Until next time,
Ashley
